On January 4, 2024, our department proudly launched its new digital classroom, a key development aimed at enhancing the educational experience for our students. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the honourable presence of Mr. Govi Chezhian (Thalamai Korada) and Ms. S. Jothimani M.P.
Event Highlights:
• Inauguration: The digital classroom was officially inaugurated by the honourable Mr. Govi Chezhian THALAMAI KORADA and the honourable Ms. S. Jothimani M.P., who emphasized the significance of incorporating advanced technology in education.
• Purpose: The new digital classroom is designed to create a more interactive and engaging learning environment, equipped with cutting-edge technological tools to enhance teaching methods and student learning.
 The launch of the digital classroom represents a major step forward in modernizing our educational resources, providing students with a state-of-the-art learning environment.

International Conference On Computational Mathematics And Applied Science


The International Conference on Computational Mathematics and Applied Sciences, held on 04.03.2024, was a significant event organized jointly by the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Physics. This conference featured a series of insightful technical sessions led by distinguished experts in their respective fields.

Technical Sessions:
• Session 1: Conducted by Dr. M. Sampath, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Periyar University. Dr. Sampath's session set the stage for an in-depth exploration of contemporary issues in computational mathematics.
• Session 2: Presented by Dr. Shanavas Shajahan, Postdoctoral Scientist, Department of Physics, Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi. Dr. Shajahan offered valuable perspectives on the integration of physics and computational techniques.
• Session 3: Delivered by Dr. Bhavneet Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Chandigarh University, Punjab. Dr. Singh's presentation highlighted recent advancements and applications in mathematical sciences.
• Session 4: Concluded by Dr. Karthik Chinnasamy, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, SRM University, Chennai. Dr. Chinnasamy provided insights into emerging trends and research in applied mathematics.
   In addition to the technical sessions, 20 students from various colleges, including our own, presented their papers, demonstrating the dynamic engagement of the academic community in computational mathematics and applied sciences.
    Overall, the conference successfully brought together a diverse group of scholars and students, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and advancements in the field.

The International Conference on “Recent Advances in Pure, Applied and Computational Mathematics” (ICRAPACM-2K22)
Dates: 25th April 2022 - 26th April 2022 Venue: Arasu College of Arts and Science for Women, Panduthakaranpudur, Manmangalam, Karur
Day 1 Highlights:
• The conference commenced with a welcome address by Mrs. D. Valliyathal, Head & Assistant Professor, PG Department of Mathematics. Dr. P. Natesan, Member of the Governing Body of the Tamil Nadu University of Teacher Education, and Chairman of Arasu Educational Institutions, presided over the event. Mr. N. Kannan, Secretary of Arasu Group of Institutions, inaugurated the conference.
• The first lecture, “Test of Hypothesis under Fuzzy Observations,” was delivered by Dr. S. Parthiban from Vignan’s Foundation of Science, Technology and Research, Guntur. This was followed by a keynote address by Dr. Phool Miyan from Haramaya University, Africa, on “Derivations in Prime Near Rings within Semigroup Ideals.”
• A paper presentation session was chaired by Dr. P. Karthikeyan from Sri Vasavi College, Erode, and Dr. J. Arivukkarasu from Vivekananda College of Technology for Women, Tiruchengode.
Day 2 Highlights:
• The day began with a prayer song by the college students. Dr. J. Arivukkarasu delivered a lecture on “Some Features of 0-Supermodular Lattice,” followed by a special lecture by Dr. P. Karthikeyan on “Fractional Dynamical Systems and Applications.”
•The conference was hosted by S. Karthika (II UG), C. P. Dhanushree (III UG), and S. Alsoima (I PG), with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. V. Aishwarya, Assistant Professor of Mathematics.
   A paper presentation session was chaired by Dr. P. Karthikeyan from Sri Vasavi College, Erode, and Dr. J. Arivukkarasu from Vivekananda College of Technology for Women, Tiruchengode.

Day 1 Highlights:
The PG Department of Mathematics at Arasu College of Arts and Science for Women successfully hosted a State Level Workshop on "Technical Writing through LaTeX Software," aimed at enhancing students' skills in technical writing.

Highlights
• Inauguration: The workshop was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. P. Natesan, with felicitation addresses from Dr. R. Rathidevi, Vice Principal, and Mrs. G Mohanavadivu, IQAC Coordinator.
• Keynote Session: The Chief Guest, Dr. S. Saranya, an expert in LaTeX, provided invaluable hands-on training. Her sessions were instrumental in equipping approximately 150 students with practical LaTeX skills.
• Conclusion: The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Selvi S. Karthika, III B.Sc. Mathematics, and was marked by the National Anthem.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT


Arasu College of Arts and Science for Women, Panduthakaranpudur, Manmangalam, Karur- 6,Department of Mathematics organized a one-day industrial visit to B.M Birla Planetarium, Chennai which is located at Kotturpuram in the Periyar Science and Technology centre on 21/12/2021 to our Department Students for the purpose of study the effect of audio- visual problems on different Astronomical Themes and Night sky observation.

Kodaikanal Observatory Industrial visit

     On 29.10.2023, a group of students and faculty from PG Department of Mathematics Arasu College of Arts and Science for Women, Panduthakaranpudur, Manmangalam, Karur-6, visited the Kodaikanal

    Observatory, one of India’s premier astronomical research centres. The visit provided an insightful experience into the field of observational astronomy, showcasing the observatory's advanced telescopes and research facilities. The group was guided through various sections of the observatory, including the telescope chambers and data analysis labs, where they learned about the ongoing astronomical research and the technological innovations employed.
     The visit highlighted the significance of the Kodaikanal Observatory in contributing to global astronomical studies. It offered students a unique opportunity to understand the practical applications of their theoretical knowledge and to engage with experts in the field. This experience not only broadened their understanding of observational techniques but also inspired an appreciation for the intricate work involved in astronomical research.
