Youth Red Cross

      The Youth Red Cross (YRC) is a part of the Indian Red Cross Society. In our college this club educates young people on how to care for themselves and others. It promotes helping young people understand and accept their civic responsibilities and act accordingly with humanitarian concern and also It develops a sense of duty and dedication in young people, and a spirit of service.

Red Cross principles
     It inculcates the seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross movement: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality.

RED RIBBON CLUB:

CITIZEN CONSUMER CLUB:

  • Citizen Consumer Club is a consumer forum of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, Government of Tamil Nadu. Citizen Consumer Club of our college is established for the purpose of spreading the awareness about consumer rights amongst all consumer segments and to help consumers get justice when affected. Objective

  • To create awareness among the consumers on their rights as per the Consumer rights act 1986.
  • To reach out to the public, both near and far, in order to educate them about their rights and responsibilities as consumers.

Vision

  • To help students understand fundamental rights for all consumer segments of a citizen, as well as to make them aware of and learn the fundamental duties of a good citizen.

Mission

  • To spread awareness on consumer rights amongst all consumer segments to students.
  • To emerge as the best citizen consumer club at State Level adjudged by the Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection through the State Government to Government of India.

  • Citizen Consumer Club has organised BIS ISI AWARENESS SHOP VISIT PROGRAMME on 14.11.2023 at Palanimurugan Jewellery, Karur.
  • INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER RIGHTS DAY CONFERENCE has conducted on 01.03.2024 at Arasu College of Arts and Science for Women, Karur. Our Chief guest was Mr.D.Suresh, District Supply & Consumer Protection Department.
  • In our college, we celebrated INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER DAY PROGRAMME on 07.02.2024 at Physics Smart Class room and also conducted competitions.
  • INTERNATIONAL MILLETS FOOD FESTIVAL celebrated on 13.12.2023.
  • GAS CYLINDER AWARENESS PRGRAMME has conducted on 13.03.2023.
  • Citizen Consumer Club organised RALLY ON NO PLASTIC AWARENESS on 25.09.2023.
  • RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT 2005 programme was organised on 12.10.2023 at Auditorium.
